GAE have a more flexible pricing but its also more complex and with more items. A typical user of GAE is in one of this schemes:

2. $9 USD + On-demand Frontend Instances $0.08/hour + High Replication Datastore $0.24/G/month + etc...

Heroku have a more simple pricing, but isn't that flexible in database prices. A typical user of Heroku is in one of this schemes:

1. Free Dyno + Free DB 10K rows + S3 free Usage Tier
2. Dynos $0.05/hour + $9 USD monthly Basic 10M rows + S3
3. Dynos $0.05/hour + $50 USD monthly 1TB database with 400 MB Cache + S3

Looking to this data my educated guess is that the more cheap option for a common web site with storage of database and files:

• with less than 120 GB: GAE
• with more than 120 GB: Heroku

Para los hackers, la supervivencia no es lo principal. Pueden subsistir bastante bien a base de donuts y pepsi-colas. Hablando en serio, desde el momento en que se puede tener un ordenador en el escritorio, no es probable que la primera preocupación que nos mueva sea cómo conseguir comer caliente o conservar el techo que nos cobija. Si bien la supervivencia, continúa siendo un factor motivador, no es en realidad una preocupación cotidiana, capaz de excluir al resto de las motivaciones.

Un <<hacker>> es una persona que ha dejado de utilizar su ordenador para sobrevivir (<<me gano el pan programando>>) y ha pasado a los dos estadios siguientes. Él (o, en teoría aunque en muy contadas ocasiones, ella) utliliza el ordenador para sus vínculos sociales: el correo electrónico e Internet son las grandes vías para acceder a una comunidad. Pero para el hacker un ordenador es también entretenimiento. No me refiero a los juegos, ni tampoco a las bellas imágenes que circulan por la red. El ordenador mismo es entretenimiento.

Así llega a crearse algo como el sistema Linux. No se trata de hacer mucho dinero. La razón por la que los hackers de Linux hacen algo es que lo encuentran muy interesante y les gusta compartir eso tan interesante con los demás. De repente, se obtiene entretenimiento del hecho de estar haciendo algo interesante, a la vez que se alcanza una repercusión social. Se logra así este efecto de la red Linux, donde hay multitud de hackers que trabajan juntos porque disfrutan con lo que hacen.

Los hackers creen que no hay un estadio de motivación superior a éste. Y es esa creencia lo que ejerce un poderoso efecto en un dominio que va mucho más allá de Linux, tal como Pekka demostrará.

The recent congress of Anarchists, held at Amsterdam, Holand, seems to me to be a wise move and a step in the right direction.

The Anarchistic cause(there has been no movement in recent years) has lacked a plan of procedure or organization. To be sure, there have somehow, here and there, drifted together a few persons who, in a loose way, formed a sort of group, calling themselves Anarchists, but these groups were composed, for the most part, of young, inexperienced people, who had about as many conceptions of the real aims of Anarchism as there were members composing the group; consequently, the result has been as might reasonably have been expected. The anarchistic cause has lacked concentration of effort, and a vivifying force to lend energy and direction toward a common aim.

The result is that the realization of the anarchistic ideal, grand as it is, is not in the least encouraging when we take a retrospective view of the last twenty years. Really, what evidence have we of a genuine growth of Anarchism in the last twenty years.

I, personally, have always held to the idea of organization, together with an assumption of responsibility by the members, such as paying monthly dues and collecting funds for propaganda purposes. For holding these views, I have been called an ‘old-school’ Anarchist, etc.
